It’s time for our first meeting of the semester:
Tuesday, February 9 from 3-4 in BH 2114.
There will be Valentine cookies and punch. Bring a poem about love or hate.

November Meeting
We will meet Nov 18 @ 4PM in BH 2453.
- The theme of this meeting is “Pies and Poetry.” Please select a poem that means something to you when it comes to thankfulness, holidays, feasts, and/or the general fall season.
- We need people to volunteer to bring a pie (it doesn’t have to be pumpkin). Please email smilne@nwacc.edu with the pie you will bring.
- We will also have hot apple cider!
- Last, we’ll talk about the scholarships and writing opportunities available to SKD members. Here’s a link to the national magazine Hedera helix.
- There’s also a national convention in St Louis this year.

Books I Like
We had a good conversation about the books we are reading and want to be reading (the minute we get a break from all this assigned reading). Out of that discussion comes this post.
